8 Ways to make exercise a daily habit

Do you exercise? Does your family exercise regularly? If it’s a negative, it might be a good idea to have a health insurance policy for your family. Only through constant exercise, we can keep the body fit and in shape. This helps a lot in your health and reduces medical risks in your more mature ages. Here are 8 ways to make exercise a daily habit:

- Schedule: Allocate a separate time of the day and dedicate it to exercise. Make sure you follow the time table. This allows you to maintain regularity in your workouts and helps making it a routine easier.

- Have a partner: Exercise along with a friend or a family member. By having a partner, the workouts are not boring. Moreover, one can motivate the other for better results.

- Make use of mornings: Firstly, morning is the time when the brain and body is most active. It’s wise to utilize it and will make you feel good for rest of the day. Secondly, all the events, parties and gatherings take place in the evening and you won’t have to miss out on them.

- Start small: Don’t push your body on the very first day. Take baby steps, progress slowly. Doing a lot on while beginning can hurt your body.

- Rest day: Take a day-off. Do not continue working out every single day. Give your body a break. Consider the rest day as a leisure time and indulge in activities of your preference.

- Don’t skip: Apart from the rest day, do not skip unnecessarily. Even if you feel tired, make sure you exercise a little to keep the flow.  Incase you miss a day, do not worry and continue the very next day.

- Keep track: Maintain a log book in which you record your daily exercise patterns. It will help in maintaining routine and will give you a sense of accomplishment.

- Reward yourself: Set goals per day or per week. For each successful goal completed reward yourself with things you like. Do not have the reward unless you complete your goal. It will help you exercise even when you are down.
