Here are a few tips to remove rust from your two-wheeler, also make sure to buy two-wheeler insurance online.
Tip 1: This method is more like a DIY and not going to cost you much. Take that diet coke from your refrigerator and grab that aluminum foil from your kitchen drawer. Now soak the aluminum foil into the coke and rub the rust using the upper side (shiner side) of the aluminum foil. You can do this by pouring the diet coke directly over the rust and rubbing it off using aluminum foil. Do not rub the surface violently. Do it slowly. Finally, wipe the coke clean using a soft cloth.
Tip 2: This method is another DIY and you don't have to spend a penny. Walk right in to your kitchens and grab baking soda, take a glass of water, and a bowl. Mix the baking soda and water. This mixture should not be runny to ensure the consistency is a thick paste. Adding lemon juice to the mixture is optional.
Now find the rusted areas and apply this paste of baking soda, lime juice, and water over it. Leave it undisturbed for 30 minutes. Last method you used aluminum foil which served as an abrasive material. Here you can use a steel wool or brush (toothbrush or any small brush available) to remove the paste off your two-wheeler.
Remove the paste in circular motions. Slowly remove the entire mixture and finish this method using a soft cloth. Register for your Bike insurance online.
Tip 3: This is another DIY to kill your time but you may have spent a few bucks for the chemical rust cleaners. If you are confused about selecting a cleaner, browse online and read the feedback to know its worth. Most of the cleaners will come with gloves. You may need to invest in eyeglasses.
Since it is chemical being on the safer side before having your hands on it is a preventive measure. Read the instructions given on the rust remover’s manual and follow the steps as mentioned and get rid of the stubborn rust.
